*NOTE: 1) ASUS Boards are problematic with 7800X3D and I'm removing them from recommendations. 2) Typo "B560" should be "B650". 3) Not all A620M boards support 120W TDP CPUs like the 7800X3D, double check the TDP supported before buying.*
What are your thoughts on the 7800X3D? What build are you planning? What resolution and FPS?

Jason I have to tell you, man. I NEVER thought in a billion years I would be able to build a PC from parts like this. But I watched this video about 50 times, bought pretty much all the parts you suggested and just tried to follow everything you did step by step. Could not believe it when I turned the thing on and it actually worked. And then I flashed the BIOS and that worked. And then I stressed out about the monitor until I watched one of your recommendation videos and bought that too. I am 100% inexperienced with this stuff and I am amazed and really grateful that you helped me understand and do something I never thought I would be able to. Thank you man!

Why are you talking to me like I can totally afford this build?

I built a new pc last weekend. B650 Asus board and went with Gskill trident specifically because it was for Amd expo. I was spooked with all the ram compatibility issues people keep talking about. Works great so far, no setup issues.

One thing I really appreciate about your videos is you have great sense of when features or added expenses aren't worth it or useful. Even on high-end builds, certain features just don't end up making a difference in what you'll actually use it for and that understanding that is key to maximizing the value you get out of spending that hard-earned money

I went with the 7700x bundle at Microcenter, which comes with a MSI B650-P Pro wifi and 32 gigs of G.Skill Flare x5 DDR5-6000 and it has worked great. Didn't have to flash anything before installing and expo settings have worked without issue.

Another great video. Awesome build here, Jason! The 7800X3D looks like a beast for gaming. Thanks for your work, buddy!

price/performance/power draw the 7800x3d is a monster. I don't do much gaming and use quicksync so I'm still happy with my 13700k but if gaming was my main concern and I was building now this CPU would be a no brainer.

I would love to see a GPU OC guide in the near future, Jason...in the meantime, kutgw and the videos coming! <3

WoW the detail in component selection is just the best. Two comments would be to actually show all details for the water cooler setup and install as well as connecting all the cables to the MoB and components. I know this is probably boring for experienced builders but for folks like myself that are considering to do their first build at some point I think it would add much for the less experienced. Perhaps just a video on this as a standalone would be a way to go. Why? Because it's obvious you are showing us how to do things right starting with matching the components and then the install to get the best performance. I think this is the build I will be saving up for! Thx so much Jason! Well Done!

As usual, Jason, you do a great job in explaining people's options. Indeed, most who choose to purchase this CPU are going to spend nearly $3K, or more, for all the accompanying components.

MAG B650 Tomahawk Wi-Fi This is an absolute beast of a motherboard. I purchased this with the Ryzen 7 7800X3D and RTX 4090 and it does not disappoint.

I paired my 7600X with Crucial 2x16GB @ 5600Mhz EXPO CL 46(budget rig) on ASRock B650 PG Lightning.... Not having a single problem, Even working few days on XMP 3.0 flawlessly, but in the end went with EXPO... Without EXPO it goes @ 4800Mhz, motherboard can sustain RAM overclock to 6200Mhz+ Very happy with the whole setup in the end. Thank you Jason for your beautiful content

PS: Loving how good single core productivity of 7000 Ryzen CPU-s is. At least judging by my 7600X which is the lowest of 7000 family, so it only gets better

Great video Jason (as always 😊). Yes, I would love to see an OC GPU ‘how to’ video. I use the Adrenaline OC feature on my 7900xtx but would love to learn how to manually tweak to get max performance. Also really loved your last video what to do after you build and how to optimize CPU/RAM. Great stuff man thanks again to you and the team!!

Another outstanding video. Since discovering your channel and subscribing your content has not ceased to amaze me. Providing different price points for different builds with links to the different components is a time consuming endeavor. I truly appreciate what you do.

Just bought this build, waiting for it to arrive. 7800x3d, 7900xtx, 32g of ram, 1tb ssd, 850 watt gold psu. Out the door was $2600. I intend to go through the whole pre-built to make sure everything was installed correctly. I've seen so many with poorly installed or no thermal paste. Cracked pcbs from shipping. Bent cpu pins ect.

Good to see you building a top class kick ass rig, Jason! I cant afford these components but its still good to see.

Looks like the white Halo MF120 is $20.68 and a 3pk is $61.68 from A.
No matter because either way, those two front intake fans will provide the positive pressure to ensure dust won’t draw from unfiltered areas. I suggest the optional magnetic filter for the front, which is less than $20 to the door from N.E.
As for the Lian Li Lancool 216, the top control “pod” can be relocated to the side, but the cables seem a bit stiff at first to bend into that position.
