Lao Tzu says “If you realize that all things change, there is nothing you will try to hold on to. If you are not afraid of dying, there is nothing you cannot achieve."

After 30 years of relationships and the joy and satisfaction these time and experiences brought into my life I have discovered my true place to be for me is single and free. I have endless freedom and time with family, friends, new experiences and personal pursuits. I can be who I choose to be. I have no credit cards and more cash and closet space than I ever need. Completely BS and drama free. I am the type of person who chooses my own happiness not allowing others to pull me into their own self chosen misery. I can have tacos every day of the week if I wish. Life is much simpler and satisfying.

The happiest people not the ones who achieve the most but the ones who spend more time than other in the state of flow.Programme our mind to experience more positive emotions while with negative thoughts we must choose consciously let them go instead of dewling on them because our emotions colour all our experiences.

I've been struggling recently with my relationships with people. I'm an alcoholic and I recently quit drinking, turns out when I'm sober I don't like people all that much. I definitely see people as tools to use for my own benefit. I'm trying to change, I'm trying to learn how to care about people, even tho my every instinct rebels against it. I like how he says that we should have unconditional compassion for other people. I can't imagine living like that today, but it's something for me to work towards.

I have practice taoism for a while, now.
simple and compassion is what Laotzu teaching the world.
I live on $1 dollar aday in china for 1 years in study taosim, I eat one meal a day for 1 years. My master or teacher taught me,

eat what you got, wear what you have, no complain. I was meditation in a cave up the mountains. He said, look why are you worry there are 8 millions people below in the cities, if we run out of foods and clothes, we go down and ask them, some of them must have left over foods and left over old clothes.
after when i got back to uk. I clean up my house, and keep everything simples. I never complain again. I fear nothing, i worry nothing, I blame no body, I don't blame fate.. nothing.
beacuse fear won't help you, worry won't help you. if it is going to happen, nothing can stop the Tao, even it is happen, nothing happen. so what .. if i die, i'm free from this prison and travel the universe in all directions freedom from suffering and bs.

thanks for sharing... you don't need to achieve anything in this world, everything is fake and not real. things come and goes away, just like our body and mind. it is just an illusion a big dream. you can take nothing, and you won't come back to live it again. so stop do evil bs and leave behind problems for others.

Compassion, moderation and humility are not gifts from Lao Tzu but jewels within an open heart.

Love all this. Only reservation, speaking as a retired older woman, is that the compassion, humility aspect is problematic for women in western society. In Asia (where I worked for some years), humility is a sign of maturity. Outside of Asia, it is often seen as weakness or simply not seen. These principles are very similar to those I was taught as how to behave as a Catholic girl. In western society, such a mindset led me to be taken advantage of by much more aggressive men who had no qualms about stealing my work or talking over me though they had far less expertise. In such a scenario, it’s easy for women to end up making coffee & struggling to support their families, while less principled men flourish.

My family and friends are so high strung and over stimulated from television and social media that Im without a doubt the only one in my social circle that can see through the BS of society and be able to stay patient throughout any situation. I did my research during the 2020 hysteria and realized there was nothing to fear. But all of my family and friends got hooked into it all. What a shame but it really opened my eyes to who I can and cant trust. Ironically the year was 2020 because I finally saw the people that I surround myself with in 20/20 vision.

Guess what? I had to become severely disabled to understand wuwei. Not only the body but the minds need rest too. Our reality is made of qi 気 (energy), our bodies are also made of energy and Consciousness has the power to attract, repulse or create situations according to how we feel. Not how we think. If we feel relaxed and full of energy, the Universe will respond by providing us exactly what we need. The more we work and the stress and tired we get, the less likely we are to see our needs met. There is no such thing as being lazy, it's a cultural construct to drain our energy. In actual fact to live a peaceful and joyful life, we just need to relax and enjoy the ride because what you need and want from the deep of your soul, it's already on its way. 😘😊🙏💖🤗😉😁

"Days go past, and days come still,
All is old and all is new,
What is well and what is ill,
You imagine and construe
Do not hope and do not fear,
Waves that leap like waves must fall;
Should they praise or should they jeer,
Look but coldly on it all."
by Mihai Eminescu

Humility vs Competitiveness, very timely. I believe Working towards continuously improving one self is not been competitive. IMHO competitiveness happens in a toxic way when your self worth rely on the failure and less fortune of others. thank you for your video
