Today, I’m going to cover nine causes of lethargy. Lethargy is like fatigue with a twist. Lethargy is fatigue along with decreased activity, apathy, depression, a lack of motivation, and a lack of creativity.

9 potential causes of lethargy:
1. Sustained stress
2. Overtraining
3. Lack of sleep
4. Studying technical subjects without looking up words you don’t understand
5. Excessive stimulants
6. Hidden infection
7. EMFs
8. Old injuries
9. Nutritional deficiencies

To help pinpoint which one of these potential causes are causing you to feel lethargic, you need to locate where the lethargy is located. Is it in your head, your sinuses, your neck, or maybe your chest? For example, let’s say the lethargy is in your head. An old injury or trauma to the head could actually cause you to feel lethargic years later.

You would also want to think about when you started feeling lethargic and what you did just before it started. This could give you a clue as to what triggered it.

You may also want to test out one theory at a time to see if it helps. For example, if you think the cause might be overtraining, then stop exercising for a week and see if the lethargy goes away. For a hidden infection, you may want to try oregano oil and garlic to help boost your immune system.

My #1 cause for lethargy by far is lack of fresh air, I easily forget to open my windows regularly and find myself lazy and unmotivated until i do (or go for a walk, walking around in the apartment works great too)

I describe this as feeling "dead" like things just aren't working right, I don't feel good, I have no motivation to do anything, I stop taking care of myself, its really taking its toll on me and I don't know what to do.

Mine started by having to confront my verbal abuser. After my mother died, my Dad fulfilled her wish by visiting me (she wanted to travel thousands of miles to come see me). It was announced 2 years prior to him actually visiting. How he didn't end up buried in the Nevada desert is still a mystery, but my Adrenals were so drained that I quickly gained 45 lbs within a year of him leaving. My Dad is the biggest energy vampire on the planet.

Thank you for addressing this. WOW. My doctor always looks at me like I'm crazy, now I am wondering. Every time I take antibiotics I feel so amazing. It's like the only time I feel that good and when I tell my doc, they are like... That's not how antibiotics work!

interesting that you say sustained stress. because my doctor always talked about sustained inflammation. which primarily comes from the gut from. Eating poorly aka eating foods that cause inflammation or food sensitivities, gmo foods, bad olis, or to much glucose/sugar/ carbs.which is a chemical strees.

Just done a 3 day fast as I was starting to feel a bit run down, January blues etc... winter here in Scotland seriously messes with you, so dark, temperature stuck in a freeze/thaw cycle (neither good enough snow for xc ski or not icy for road cycling)....Lethargy was creeping in fast...now feel amazing after my first meal, might do another in a months time....(my "PB" is 10 days last September, it does raise the bar so much psychologically that 3 days is a doddle, but started it in ketosis(from ketovore) so hopefully rapid autophagy also...)

It's also interesting you were talking about old injuries because I was reading from this book called " why isn't my brain working" by Dr Datis kharrazian. And the book talks about people who had old injuries but recovered because they had built positive brain plasticity. There are ways of activating the brian that create positive neuro plasticity.

To me it's remembering old events.... in other words, reminiscing makes me lethargic like crazy... also, remembering my past failures in my educational career, and when people that i know try to encourage me, i don't know, i feel like it's being fake and that makes me lethargic and ignorant .. unless if someone that i don't know did the same, at that very moment i feel so much motivated...

How often do you step away from EMF`s? You are always working so hard to bring us this great information. I hope you take time for yourself when needed.
I would love to see a video on your everyday things when not researching etc. You have changed so many lives and put out such wisdom on natural cures and explain it so everyone understands the way things work. I use your wisdom each day to help others who have questions and ailments.
Thank you

Lethargy can be a normal response to inadequate sleep, overexertion, overworking,  stress, lack of exercise, improper nutrition, boredom, or a symptom of an illness or a disorder. 👍
