Here in northern Arizona it's important to practice throwing and putting different angles in the wind, cause it's rarely not windy. One more thing to think about, but better than a, "Oh crap, I forgot about the wind" moment.

I use a nearby football field for my practices. I don't throw very far anyway so I'll take two portable baskets and place each in an end zone. I then treat the field like an open 300ft fairway so that not only am I getting in my drives but I also have targets with which to approach and then putt to finish before throwing back to the other end. I too group my discs and throw about 10 at a time. The only tip I'd add, because it wasn't mentioned, is count your discs each time you head down the field. It's very frustrating to loose a disc in the mix because you didn't keep up with it when you throw the occasional errant throw. Good job sir, thanks!

That’s a lot of throwing for me, I’m old! Although I have a lot of discs I tend to bring my bag, a few back ups and a couple new discs to see where they might fit.
I love the video and suggestions. Thank you for being you!

"Mysteries of the Left Hand; Solved" BBC Horizon video. It explains why a giant hobbit would be so likely to end up as an elite flatball basketeer. The first few minutes of the documentary are britishly wierd, but then, it gets rollin'.

The note pad.... you did not mention it but I think it helps with paying attention. And I can only throw 8 in a cycle, any more and I spend too much time looking for them.

I love the focus on keeping your mental game involved. Setting the mood and staying positive. Those translate to the course and are great benefits!
My putting practice uses perfect putt 360. Minimum 100 putts from various distances and added pressure of first and last putts worth extra points.

Love the positivity that you always show! Your practice round video and meeting you at USDGC really shows the guy on camera is the same guy in person. Looking forward to a big year for you in 2019!

Awesome video, I like to start with a handful of putters then move to mids and finally drivers but I don't take time between. I am going to try it out on my next feild work day.

AJ I love your commentary on disc golf tourneys. You are hilarious. My son and I have started doing playoff videos at our local disc golf league. We do commentary and everything. It would make our day if you could check us out. If you do please leave a comment so I can show my son. He loves you.

Thanks for the tips AJ! It's a little snowy in Reno to be throwing right now but I'm trying to stay positive haha

I always like to start my warm ups throwing my putters and mid ranges. Even on field practice or before a tournament round, I throw my putters a couple times before I throw my fairway and drivers.

Thanks for all the tips. Two different people I listen to their podcasts. Kevin Smith he has several & then also the Joe Rogan experience. Love the variety of guests he has on. Well that's the main 2. I'm a podcast junkie so I'll listen to any disc golf one I can find plus several entertainment and fitness podcasts

I need to work hard at #5. I tend to get down on myself easily when I practice. Gonna work in some more AJ-style fist pumps from now on.

Stay positive? Listen to music? What is all this namby, pamby new age, hippy stuff I'm hearing? When I was a young whipper snapper like you, we got out there and threw those frisbees until it hurt. And then we threw them some more. That was our game plan and we liked it.

Always remember where you throw your disc so you don’t leave it out on the field
