Band of Brothers - Sobel's lost again

The best part of this scene is later when Sobel is explaining it was “the major” who told him to cut the fence. In the background of the shot are cows walking around aimlessly.

I never understood why the Hell Sobel is wearing a fur leather jacket. Is he trying to look like Patton? If he was in combat, he’d be the first target the enemy would take a shot at

Sobels story is pretty sad. After he left the army he tried to kill himself. He shot himself in the temple and only succeeded in permanently blinding himself. He died years later in a VA hospital blind and alone.
