You inspired a conversation between my wife and I. My take away is that I need to schedule my workouts; literally put them into my calendar. I should have went to the gym this morning, but got caught up doing some tidying up around the house. While that was productive and needed done, an hour away would not have affected the outcome of my chores. For her it is using her food diary to keep track of her meals. So, we are both thankful for your sharing this story with us, and giving us some motivation to get back to our plan. Thanks and God bless.

I started the diet accountability part because of one of your previous videos. Been using an app, double-checked by searching online for info, to track my calories and macros, and it’s been a really great help with weight loss. The clean eating part, while being less critical overall to weight loss than calorie restrictions, makes the latter easier to do. Opting for whole grain and other fibrous carbs instead of refined ones makes you fuller and, hence, makes it easier to eat fewer calories. And eating nutrient dense foods instead of the junkier stuff (goodbye spam and hotdogs! 😩) means you can eat less without risking malnutrition.

I need to build the habit of self control, I eat very healthy and hardly eat out but I tend to overeat more than I should 🙁 and I feel like it is hindering my process

That's right baby! Take it to the next level. That is definitely my new goal I've been working on. I'm trying to take my body to a whole new level for the first time in my life. I've been lean but I'm aiming for shreddedness so people can also accuse me of taking peds or steroids as well. on my way there. Let's go get it!

Hi Paul. I’m almost 50 and just recovered from Colon cancer. I’ve also waiting for SI joint nerve block. Have you ever helped anyone in a similar situation. I believe nutrition is king and I always was ok with this. Colon cancer can hit anyone. I’d love to get lean and inspire others. I’m 5, 9 and gone from 178 to 156 in 9 months, I’d like to be 148. How many calories do I need per day walking to succeed as I’m in plateau . Love your channel. Thanks from Ireland 🇮🇪

It's been awhile since I've been dieting almost 6 months but with your help and your courage and inspiration I will start soon 👌
BTW You did help me a lot in my last journey, knowing pretty much all the basics and for that I'm so greatful. 🧡👌

In high school, I used my mom’s gym membership. Before I got married, we had the same first and last name. Now I have my own gym in my basement.

1) Walk the dogs, 35 lb ruck, or run 8 miles per day with one day off per week. Goal: 2800
Miles this year.

2) 150 sit-ups and 150 push-ups per day, one day off per week.

You can eat like a crazy person and count calories and macros etc…or, you can eat small portions of what your family is eating so you’re not being a dick.

Works for me.

I set my mind that starting healthy diet or healthy eating. Was my base. To fall back into. So basically I grounded my self from falling back into chaos. I definitely used many of your words of advice. Definitely helped a lot. Thanks for sharing.
I am 43 workout on and off. With shoulder injury. And I used to lift heavy and I am big. By big as full but not having the condition. I would say information is power not knowledge. Information leads to knowledge.
And you have provided plenty of valuable information. Thank you for that.
