Finding Truth in the Book of Mormon

The Book of Mormon is a big part of Tom’s life. From its pages he makes comparisons to what’s going on in our world today. As Russell M. Nelson, President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has said: “[The Book of Mormon] contains the answers to life’s most compelling questions. It teaches the doctrine of Christ. … The Book of Mormon provides the fullest and most authoritative understanding of the Atonement of Jesus Christ to be found anywhere.”

When I read the Book the Mormon, I feel the Holy Ghost teaching me powerfully the lessons that I read within. I love the whole Book and one of my favorites is the book of Alma! I think this is in chapters 40-50 but I love the story of Capt. Moroni and his awesome example of how he fought against his enemy Amalickiah and the Lamenites. He does what is best for the Nephites and what God commands him to do. Awesome book!

We are in the last days. The minds and hearts of many are confused, for Satan has also progressed in his work to confuse the eternal truths of the gospel. It is necessary to pray a little more, and to be patient, because the true seed contained in the word of God, will resurrect with great force and whoever does this, will have more clarity will believe that "The Book of Mormon" came to appease and testify along with the Bible of the truths of the gospel and prepare for the great day of the Lord at his promised coming.

Painting isn't one of my talents, but I enjoy their aesthetic beauty. I agree that the face in the painting looks a bit like a young Kenny Rogers. Something struck me in Acts 5 not too long ago. The conversation following Peter's release from prison was impressive. It's nice to know so many are looking, listening, and learning.

I am encouraged by the gospel found in the new testament, it's logical in reality and specific about justification, the similar passages in the book of Mormon can't be taken literally, it would be a cruel joke to reveal a gospel that can't actually redeem anybody, but only condemns.
