I have an expander rn, and for me once the hole gets that big I'll just wear a mask. I'm already self conscious enough.

Wait does this happen with everyone? Bc I’m getting an expander soon and now I’m horrified, bc ppl are gonna make fun of me non stop

Edit: I’m halfway through my expander treatment and there isn’t a gap at all actually. Turns out when there’s braces and and expander at the same time, it’s just the back of ur mouth getting expanded, while the braces close of the gap that in the FRONT. Hope that cleared it up a little!

The only thing about widening that much is that braces now have to pull these teeth through alveolar bone to fill in that space, and that is a huge amount of trauma both to the teeth and the alveolar bone.

I experience the same situation with two missing cones in my upper teeth but having braces was a up and down experience but worth it, I just got my braces off two days ago on Wednesday April 3, 2024 after Two and Half years almost three years but anyways now I have a retainer with fake teeth for temporary until I get a real teeth cone implant but I'm not sure if I'll still need my retainer or a get new retainer!!! ☺️💗
