Abschiednehmen ist ein bisschen wie sterben- Saying goodby is a little bit like dying, that is what we say in Germany, at least it feels like it. But dont worry, you have everything that you need in your heart.

So, you are actually not moving to Germany at all. You're moving to Bavaria!
There was a poll in 2017 where a surprisingly large number of Bavarians (30%) said, they'd welcome independence from Germany and the number has probably increased ever since. The rest of them wasn't honest anyway.

Awww, your emotional breakdown in the beginning is so heart-rending. Helping-hugs from Germany.
But hopefully, soon, you will make many great, new experiences that will help soften the emotional blows.
Have a great, safe trip. All the best to you three.
Welcome to Germany should you have arrived already.

We should have switched homes, lol.. I've been wanting to leave Germany for over 20 years.. I prefer deserts, warm and sunny weather...And everything is so spacious in the US. Im sick of the cold and grey German weather and the, for me, boring landscapes, lol... Im excited to follow your adventure. Greetings from Munich!

Looking forward to your reaction vids on German homes. We had mixed reactions on selling our first home (for me no big deal as I've moved a lot I my life, no real emotional attachment; for wife it was a bit harder to say goodbye). BTW, you should check out The Always Home channel. They're a young couple in Graf who are expecting their first child (they're taking a bit of a hiatus from YT right now).

So, then you should already be here in cold Germany. Hope everything went well. Have you been already vaccinated?

Hey guys.
Yeah, i know it by myself how rough it can be to leave the "old life" and family. But i'm sure you will find a new, warm home and many new friends that will help you trough this kind of feelings.
Love from Bavaria!

It is surely hard leaving family for sure. However, Thanks, to technology such as video calls, facetime, skype, insta, and many other ways t communicate easily. Sounds like that you did a lot of work at your new/old house but you have surely left your legacy there :) :).

Make an appointment with your relatives how you can keep in touch via the Internet. Maybe you want to tell how beautiful everything is, but maybe you need a private ear. You don't need to break all bridges to discover new things.

Now you will have to learn all the mess that German Language is, like der, die, das.

3:10 I have made the experience that once I "completed" a renovation or even building a house I then moved. So my drive to do everything perfect has gone. It comes from the typical German habit of buying/building a home once and forever. So investments will pay out. But when moving as often as Americans are said to do I will only do as little as is needed. Which I am close to now.

Since you were asking for it in the other video, Weiden is pretty much pronounced like "widen" in English (widen your horizons 👍). I bet it is not easy to leave your new house family and friends but I think it is also an amazing opportunity. Beside your sponsors input and the people at the base check out (here on you tube) the channel "wanted adventure living abroad". Good place to dive into cultural differences and maybe avoid to drop the one or other brick. On a side note, I live near Bayreuth about 50km from Grafenwöhr.
