As a kid, I always used to witness adults wilding out at Indian restaurants. They’d be trying to get discounts, special treatment, and custom items. And you know what, it’s the reason I have 10/10 street smarts today. Wouldn’t change it for the world!

My family is *Italian*, but the first 5 years of my life I was babysat/nannied by a wonderful community of Indians, so I can relate to this on a spiritual level lol

I worked at an Indian restaurant and I can say that some of this is definitely true.

✅ "I've been coming here for 20 years and this was the worst service I've ever had 20% discount."
"Ma'am we've only been open for a year"

✅ "I know the owner"

✅ Having to help somebody make the assist with the check they're fighting over

✅ I'm Greg

✅ Expecting me to know every single thing that is on the menu including the pronunciation.

The bill thing is true for other Asian families too. I'm half Japanese and my Japanese relatives will literally tackle each other to pay for the meal
