If you walk into a restaurant and the owner is like this, you might be terrified but there's also a good chance you're about to have the best meal of your life.

“For the bastard mother bitches over there” is so damn on point

On a Balkan scale it's not Key's character who is overreacting, it's Peele's who has the patience of a saint for their ignorance.

"we are here, they are there"

A summary of Balkan politics.

I asked for pistachio baklava at a gyro shop in Indianapolis and the old Greek lady behind the counter about had a stroke. Her faced darkened, and she very severely informed me that walnut baklava was greek, and pistachio baklava was Turkish.

And the way she spat out the word "Turkish" was so over the top full of disgust and hate that it really had to be seen to be believed.

This sketch is hilarious and is not very exaggerated...

when my dad was young he was constantly maneuvering his way through being a customer of both a turkish store and a greek one who were in the same street and he describes it pretty much like that

2:04 "but they don't know" is by far one of the funniest delivered lines I've ever experienced😂 so subtle but it just murdered me

As a person who ate both kebapi and chevapi i can certify that they both taste absolutely different owing to the fact that the former involves stirring the constituents while the latter involves mixing them.
Edit: Guys, it was a damn joke, I never left my country, my passport is as blank as my bank account.

The "cash only" signs really tie the atmosphere together.

Fun fact (maybe): The ingridients that were subtitled as "foreign language" are ajvar and kajmak. Ajvar is a spicy sauce made of pepper and eggplant and kajmak is something like a cottage cheese but actually pretty tasteful. It's made of fermented milk.

I'm from Afghanistan and an immigrant in the US, and I can't count how many times I've watched this and laughed my heart off 😂 thank you for the laughs. My favorite swear words have forever been changed to, "those madar bechiz"!!!
