Of course, the other problem with used AirPods, is the batteries, those can wear out quicker than iPhones, but you can replace the battery on iPhones, while AirPods…. Good luck with that.

Even if they're legit, the battery performance is significantly reduced after a year of use.

This is why I was EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAR in the description of the listing that the AirPods I was selling were knock offs, to make sure no one thought they were real, because I know there are so many people trying to make a quick buck selling "lightly used, almost brand new" AirPods for a good deal that ends up being more than they originally paid for them, because they’re knock offs but being sold as genuine.

Put a flashlight to the case lid and if you see hardware on the sides it's real

I totally agree with this. Learned this the hard way. My pair was listed for 130 and I bought it only to find out later that it was fake. The seller then blocked me after getting his money. Very bad experience. Just get them from a retail store if you don’t wanna get scammed.

I got a great deal on Air pods Gen 2 on eBay for only $60.00 and honestly they work like a dream and sound really nice. Also came with the charging case. Love em.

Too late… I bought used AirPods on Poshmark… one of the AirPods were broken, no sound came out. But I made the rookie mistake of accepting the order before I checked so I couldn’t get a refund.

I know how to tell. At the top right or left of a case is numbers and the model number go onto apple verified and type the model number into the space that says to and it will tell u what store they r from or if they are fake. There u go hope this helps.

The way to tell is the stem.
The knockoffs don't have sensors in the stems like the original.
