In this video I talk about what often causes outer knee pain and more specifically when it happens while learning Lotus Pose. It isn't as common as inner knee pain in this pose, but worth looking into especially if your practicing yoga and also enjoy running and/or cycling, which tend to tighten the IT band along with the gluteus maximus and TFL Tensor Fascia Latae muscles. I cover 4 different yoga poses that you can explore to reduce outer knee pain, not just for practicing Lotus Pose, but also other sports or activities.
