Lawrence Friedman, MD, Professor, and Chair, Department of Medicine, Newton-Wellsley Hospital and Harvard Medical School, presents a talk about the role of liver function tests (LFTs) in clinical hepatology. Dr. Friedman is a gastroenterologist and hepatologist whose career as a clinician-educator and clinical researcher has included spans at Massachusetts General Hospital, Jefferson Medical College, and most recently Newton-Wellsley Hospital. His talk focuses on describing typical patterns of liver biochemical test abnormalities, and differential diagnoses and clinical evaluation of such lab results. The title of his May 25, 2018 Grand Rounds talk is "Fun With LFTs." He is a "Dream Speaker" in the UW-Madison Grand Rounds series, having been invited by internal medicine chief residents as a prominent expert in the field.
