The reason might be the meat when you eat carbs alone they have a spike but not with protein

That's not fair you eat lentils with meat and you only ate beans

So interesting! I’m not diabetic but had noticed weight gain and resistance to weight loss no matter what I did (fasting, increased exercise etc) so when I was offered a CGM through my medical group, I took it. I’ve been interested in health for decades so I felt I ate a healthy diet. But I was shocked to see some pretty extreme glucose spikes to foods I had previously thought were reasonably healthy, like beans (no matter what I do, e.g., drink some apple cider vinegar, eat a salad before, add more protein, add fat). I love beans so that’s a real bummer. I do find that lentils have less of a spike so I do occasionally have them. Also no amount of rice or type of rice works for me, nor does any pasta (bean or wheat). I might as well eat sugar.

And if ur not type 1 ur body will handle protien completely in a different way depending on how much insulin resistant u r n how ur metabolism works so for type 1 gluconeogenesis is a big issue

the lentis you ate had meat in them it has more protein if you compare it to only eating mung beans

Ru type 1 as type 1 diabetics handle protein alot differently as protien spikes alot n need extra insulin to cover high protien even from chick pea or lentils or beans
