Love Ben he's sympathetic to the patient and amazed by the stupidity of the parent.

If your children have an unnormal amount of acne I urge you to take them to the dermatologist! It really helped me, I only wish my parents took me sooner to have less scars.

...what were they planning to do if the doctor said yes?

When I was in high school, they insisted that excessive acne in teens was caused by fluctuating hormones. So, it's a fair question from an older parent who hasn't kept up on medical knowledge. And the kids having sex were never the ones with acne issues. But I think that's just confusing cause with effect. 😅😂🤣

She’s the kind of person that would do this the second she saw 1 spot

Some people's parents! 🙄 Poor kid! My stepmother was the exact opposite. She couldn't care less. I actually had cystic acne as a teenager and she wouldn't help me do anything about it. I used my allowance to buy 91% rubbing alcohol and witch hazel extract and used some of her oil of Olay moisturizer mixed together in a bottle to try to get my face to act a little normal ( it's STILL oily as all hell!) And I washed morning and night. Did no good. Still had the big pustules everywhere. Even now, at 48 years old, with prescription skin care (not curology. Actual dermatologist visits), I still have problems. My grandmother had the same problem until she passed away at the age of 102 in 2017. She looked like she was in her early 70s. I guess that's one blessing of oily skin.

The mom is literally what people who use "virgin" as an insult actually think.

To be fair, this kid that used to go to school with me, he had really bad acne that was actually infected cellulite, and the infection was almost reaching his brain. He got hospitalized and stayed in the ICU for over a week.

This myth so prevalent in my country that I was surprised at Ben's surprise.
My mom looked at me one day and said "Huh, so, your pimples are going away now, aren't they?.. Interesting".
I've seen a pretty decent explanation to this legend: acne _usually_ stops when the teenage phase is over, and the end of this age is also usually when people start to have sex. At least it used be mostly like this, so maybe now, when we're finally admitting everyone is different, it can finally go away.

The rage I get from this video from the number of times I actually heard, from the parents themselves, ask such stupid questions like this.

And I'm not a nurse or a doctor, I use to baby sit!
