Is once saved always saved just a license to sin as much as I want to? Is the doctrine of eternal security (once saved always saved) just some way for us to justify that because God has saved us, we now have the liberty or license to sin as much as we want and STILL go to heaven? This is a question that many people who question the doctrine of once saved always saved have asked. So in this video I'll give you 4 things to consider and 3 very important reasons why this question is extremely important to answer as it relates to the topic of once saved always saved.

Once you’re saved, sin becomes a poison that taste bitter on the tongue. Once you accept Christ, sin just doesn’t have the same appeal.
I’ve sinned after accepting Christ, I still do sometimes. I struggle. I’m a sinner. Small and big. And every time I feel like I’m slapping my friend in the face. In my journey, I’ve come to realize that I’m my own biggest enemy. My flesh. At one point, I was so ridden with guilt and negative self talk. My perception of myself diminished when I sinned against God. Then I had a thought. Jesus gives authority over these things! In my journey, I needed to learn how to forgive myself for falling short. Fellow brothers and sisters struggling with sin, take comfort in this- the battle has been won already! When the enemy knocks on your conscience with knives and bitter words, tell your enemy that they do not have authority over you. In the name of Jesus!

There is a difference between a struggle and willful behavior.

“We cannot be entertained by the sins for which Christ died, ” John MacArthur

The love of Jesus pushes us to live holy lives. Christ’s work on the cross is supposed to take us out of sin not right into sin.

You know, if it were up to humans to decide who gets to heaven, it would be a really empty place.

Yes I believe once you’re saved that’s it! Those truly saved will not want to continue in sin. We’ll struggle with it but now we’re on a journey to becoming more like Christ!

Thank you Lord for never leaving us nor forsaking us even when we sin. Thanks for offering your new mercies every morning and for paying the eternal price for my sins past, present and future. Thanks brother Allen for explaining this so well and clear.

I also love how he makes it clear that "Paul said, " or "Jesus said, " so people can't twist his words to say "Sir Allen said." Just a small, clever detail here.

Brother Allen, thank you so much for making this video. I have been struggling so much because I feel that I am not good enough, but I know in my heart that no one is good enough. My biggest fear is that when I die, God will say, “Depart from Me, I never knew you”. Now I know for certain that these feelings are from the enemy and satan is trying to steal my peace. God bless you brother. ❤️

"Our good works and obedience that we do is the fruit of our salvation, not the root of our salvation. It's not what gets us saved or what keeps us saved, it's what we do because we are saved and because we love the Lord."

Someone who submits to GOD and is therefore changed by GOD will not live as they did before. They will not live completely sin free. But they will love what they once hated and they will hate what once loved. I loved, drinking, lusting, hating, fighting and so many other things that GOD hates. I hated GOD, but I love him now. And it was all GOD'S doing.

Honestly this is the most clear teaching I have heard on this subject. My heart has been burdened for years for those in my circle of family and friends who were saved as children and walked away from God and for those that I love who say they are believers but live as if they are not. I am so thankful that God’s grace covers us all!

Once a person is truly converted and have the Holy Spirit there desire is always to please God. They may sin, but the conviction of the Holy Spirit draws them back to repent! Good teaching Allen!
