The idea that Man has the power to undo what God has determined is the height of arrogance. I preached a series "Whose Salvation Is It Anyway? several years ago. Numerous biblical passages depicting Salvation as God's doing -- His initiation, His design, His will, His eternal purpose. It was encouraging to the redeemed, but, argumentative to those who held to their own power in salvation. I fear for those who claim the Name of Christ for their eternal destiny yet claim that at any time they can fall or step away from. A weak faith yes, but, does reveal who they ultimately have their trust in.

If you are born again, have repented of your sins believe the gospel and are truly converted, you CANNOT lose your salvation. It is God who has saved you, not your decision. For you to be unsaved, the Holy Spirit would have to leave you, and cause you to become unborn again. You don't hold on to Him, He holds on to you.

Thanking God for you Jordan. I've got family members who are in leadership roles who believe that you can loose salvation. The quoted Scriptures are proof enough that God is a Keeper. He keeps us; we can't keep ourselves. And, by no means are we to take His grace for granted; those who do, may have never been saved at all.

Excellent - one of the best videos I've seen of yours.I feel sorry for those professing Protestant Christians who are living under the burden that there's something they can do (or not do) which would lead to them losing their salvation.Those are the non-Biblical, synergistic churches who, because they believe that their free will got them into Christianity, that somehow their free will can get them out.Or they're the very legalistic churches.What a blessing it was for me to FINALLY come to the understanding what is clearly taught in scripture - God is in control of everything including our salvation.

I thought you could lose salvation because Ive seen professing Christians 'turn away' or continue to live exactly the same as before they prayed a prayer. I have a hard time saying they werent saved because I dont want to judge and dont know their hearts.

Now I understand, they arent really saved if they are not being regenerated, seeking Gods Word and producing no fruit.

I have to pray harder for them and myself to be a better example.

Very well explained brother...the Bible says..."we must work out our salvation".
We are saved by His Grace and Mercy but we have to constantly seek His forgiveness and continually repent of our wrong doings.
We are of sin nature. When we are truly saved we do not become sinless.
Only God the Father is good and only one, the Lord Jesus Christ, as a man, was sinless.
Seeking forgiveness and truly repenting, is working out your salvation, on a daily basis.

So right Jordan; there are false professors everywhere. My heart breaks for those who “think” they are secure and for all of the reasons that most think will earn you an eternal pass, when nothing could be more wrong. This is why the doctrine of election is so crucial to understanding salvation. Since we do not know who is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, w3 are commanded to share the gospel at every opportunity; that is our part, and God’s part lie in the results.
