Every Sunday, millions of churches around the globe offer an opportunity for salvation. But are we engaging the true power of repentance? Is this why many leave the church's four walls unchanged?

In today's episode, we challenge the notion of knowing Jesus as merely "Savior" while exploring the significance of counting the cost before uttering the "sinner's prayer."

Tune in to be inspired and equipped as we navigate the crucial question: "How do you know you're saved?"

You are sealed by the Holy Spirit until the Day of Redemption. Ephesians 4:30

I’m 50 yrs old and just now learning what a real relationship with Jesus looks like. I “prayed the prayer” in my 20’s and it was very profound but I absolutely didn’t know what to do after and I wish someone had seen how lost I was because I didn’t know that I had no idea what I was doing and I needed guidance. There was no internet back then so it’s nice to read my bible and watch you tube. I’ve tried to restart so many times and this time feels very different I’ve never been able to read and understand the Bible and I’m actually understanding everything I’m reading. I repent everyday and ask God for his forgiveness of my sins and I’m so grateful for Jesus Christ who died for me. I still have A LOT of questions but I ask God for discernment. It’s not going to happen over night and I know that but I’m so eager to learn and be able to quote scripture as I don’t know any by memory right now. I don’t even know how to pray but I do the best I can. I love Him so much and I know He sees my heart. I hope y’all have a blessed day ❤

1Jn 2:19: "They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they all are not of us."

We know that there are people in church that are not true followers of Christ. I believe scripture refers to them as tares among wheat. But apostasy refers to those who were a part of the church that leave it. That causes a conundrum in my mind. If that is referring to people that never put their faith in Christ, how can they be called a part of the body?

Based on that plus all the warnings to believers to be alert and to remain in the faith it would seem that a believer can walk away from the faith. We are secure in our salvation in that no one can take it from us but we still have the freedom to walk away

I'm praying for the prodigals that have left the Father to come home 🙏❤️

Revelation 3:5 talks about having your name blotted out of the book of life, saved but turned away from The Word of God

"Were they even saved in the first place?"

Very relevant point.

The Bible doesn’t say we are to ask Jesus in our heart to be saved.

We are to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved. Acts 16:31

About what you said on following up after salvation, discipleship…I’ve been saying this for years! Thank you for talking about all of this!

Such an important conversation. Each of us needs to examine ourselves. God is faithful. HIS desire is always FOR US. But we can have head knowlege without fully submitting.... and NO ONE BUT GOD can be sure who is in relationship with Him and who is just an acquaintance. Ask yourself who YOU are submitted to ... who are you serving? ... Yourself or your Savior.

When you are born-again, it is simply impossible to undo that. You can't go back to being what you were before. You might try but it is impossible.

What a great answer to change: God gave me a brand new heart and He changed me

Ezekiel 18:32
For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone who dies, ” declares the Lord God. “Therefore, repent and live!”

Salvation is an ongoing process, always has been and always will be. Because we have the ability to commit sins even after we accepted Lord Jesus Christ. That's why repentance is needed.

Yes!!! I believe that also.

It will be an army of Christ-Centered believers calling back the fallen

I appreciate these thoughts. Still a tricky topic for me. My husband, who was also my best friend, walked away from God (and all of us as a family) when we went through extreme pressure. He did have a deep and living grasp of repentance and lordship, but the thorns, “The worries of the world and the deceitfulness of wealth”, overwhelmed him.

Still, God has told us not to give up prayer for him. I am encouraged by your words about another chapter 🙏🏾♥️

Amen... "Salvation" is very different than having Him as Lord! That's what today's church needs to come to terms with...

No. Salvation is a gift from God. Once you are born again, you can not be un-born. It is a great relief to know that your eternity with God in heaven is not in your own hands. Jesus said He will lose none that the Father has given Him.

I was not raised in church, and I accepted Jesus in 2021 at 50 years old.
I wasnt around church before 2021, but it seems like theres been a "ticket to Heaven" mentality going on. Get Saved, get your ticket to Heaven, go on with your life.

This is a very important teaching. Ill go watch the full video that you linked to in another comment.
Thank You Lord for having Your Hand on clearing up teachings in Your Church!! It is a season for this, and I am thinking this may also be part of the great apostasy, because as the teachings are corrected many will be offended.
