Words to remember: "If you take them into your confidence, you're giving them ammunition."

Get away from them ASAP. Have nothing to do with them.

I was married to one of those. It took a restraining order to get him away from me. I never knew so much evil. And he’s not done with me yet. People like that should come with a warning label.

NEVER give a narc information about your personal life! Always paint a rosey picture. Be upbeat and always in a great mood, even if you have to fake it!

This all is right on target. It is SO sad that you have to defend yourself from these evil people. Yes, I consider them EVIL.

I've spent 11 years with a narcissist. The Mental part of abuse is the most horrible experience ever. I've spent 11 years in tears.

"They put their personal pleasure above the safety and well-being of others." There simply are no words to describe the utter destruction and devastation caused by these individuals while they go about their business as if it's another day. Meanwhile we're sifting through the physical and emotional wreckage to see what can be salvaged, at the same time, concerned for our health, safety, financial future, living arrangements, children, grandchildren, pets, etc. I've seen abandonment, abuse and neglect of people, animals and property. I've seen animals and people put in life or death situations so that a narcissist can have what they're entitled. These individuals are dangerous and must be recognized. The problem is that this behavior is so unthinkable to the average person that we can't or don't see it.

I hate how sometimes they get ANGRY without you doing anything. They can just WAKE UP angry and rub off their energy on YOU! EVEN when you did nothing and that SHIT makes me SICK!

Yes, they will dismantle your life. It’s hard to wrap your head around. Even the most trivial conversations will be used to get you. It’s hard to believe that others want to destroy you because you are authentic and have empathy. The damage they can do is really beyond comprehension.

When you realize how someone REALLY operates, it can be shocking. When someone slowly dismantles your life, piece by piece, it is clinically insane and CRIMINAL ! Time for justice and financial restitution ! No one should ever go through this, because there is NO point or purpose, except to destroy someone ! Thank you for posting this !

My father and my sister are malignant narcissists. My little sister is a covert narcissist and my mother was a covert narcissist. I am 66 years old and it has taken me all of my life to understand this.

They can hold on the trauma that happened to them in their childhood, but expect you to forgive and forget all of the demonic, destructive, evil, convincing, disrespecting,
used, abused and misused things they did to you. It like, forget about that, let's start from here.
Only to do worse. It never over. Same mess, different day.

There are people born into this situation. Whole families dealing with this. I didnt realize how dangerous my dad was until my mom died and he had to "abuse" someone else....I happed to get cancer, and I believe he thought I was the weakest empath of his harum; therefore boy, did I ever pay! He has done such damage and hurtful things to me with full intention even though he denies it. And the whole time he spins it all around and makes it look like I hurt him... My family sticks up for him no matter what, even though they know full well who he is and what he does. I have known for three years now, and I am just starting to recover from mourning the loss of my family. Meaning I can get out of bed now, and I do not cry every single day.
