Season five will chronicle the aftermath of last season’s horrific events and find the characters coming to terms with the consequences of their choices – as they make the realization that if they really want to change their futures, they must first face the past. Helen (Tierney) begins the season involved in an intoxicating new affair with a charismatic movie star (guest star Claes Bang), who offers to give her everything she’s been missing. Noah (West) meanwhile has to swallow his pride and his jealousy and step in to take care of his family in her absence. But just when things seem to have stabilized, a chance encounter with someone from the distant past sets in a motion a sequence of events that brings them both to their knees. Paquin stars as Alison and Cole’s now adult daughter Joanie Lockhart, who returns some years in the future to piece together the truth about what happened to her mother, bringing the whole story full circle.

This series went off its rocker long back.the characters and storyline was the best and very believable in season 1. I think in late season 2.. now, it just feels like a different TV series, really ..

Don’t underestimate the amazing Anna Paquin! The series did change but I couldn’t abandon it (except Noah’s prison disaster). I love each actor & their character and the writing made me think. I’m sorry Ruth and Josh are gone but let’s give S5 a chance to take us on new journeys with the gifted and seasoned actors, writers and entire crew. Watch first, applaud or criticize later. You just might like it and learn something, eh?

Feel like 2019 has just been a year of solidly shit endings which series should of ended prepmaturly... I'm guessing this series will be the same and should still be ashamed of the departure of Ruth Wilson who did an excellent role betraying allison and they ended her as bad as they ended game of thrones.

This looks promising. It’s a shame Sarah Treem gave up on Season 3 the way she did. Most gave up on this thing when she was just cashing it in back then.
