Season five will chronicle the aftermath of last season’s horrific events and find the characters coming to terms with the consequences of their choices – as they make the realization that if they really want to change their futures, they must first face the past. Helen (Tierney) begins the season involved in an intoxicating new affair with a charismatic movie star (guest star Claes Bang), who offers to give her everything she’s been missing. Noah (West) meanwhile has to swallow his pride and his jealousy and step in to take care of his family in her absence. But just when things seem to have stabilized, a chance encounter with someone from the distant past sets in a motion a sequence of events that brings them both to their knees. Paquin stars as Alison and Cole’s now adult daughter Joanie Lockhart, who returns some years in the future to piece together the truth about what happened to her mother, bringing the whole story full circle.

The actess who plays Helen is nothing short of amazing. She can hard, and moody. Then in an instant she can make your knees weak with her kind smile and understanding nature.

Just drawl of enjoyment, being a HUGE fan of Maura, love her sexy voice & accent and The Affair does nt exist on Swedish tv, even if E R did (Abby). So thanks for these clips ! Enjoying everyone of them ! She looks so good without tons of makeup, by the way.

I’m sick of Noah’s whiny voice and his constant problems in order to fill up the hour. Helen, in her fifties, applying for a job without experience, saying now she’ll be able to keep the house. In the first season, Helen came from wealth, lived in a NY brownstone which had to cost millions, owned a shop, her parents in huge home costing millions. Noah’s published books, yet he can’t pay for his whiny daughter’s wedding. Suddenly everyone is broke and now Noah is having a metoo problem. I keep promising to quit watching but I have to have an ending somehow. Also, I hate Sasha! He’s a self-centered me, me, person who doesn’t really care about Helen at all. End this stupid show!
