Season five will chronicle the aftermath of last season’s horrific events and find the characters coming to terms with the consequences of their choices – as they make the realization that if they really want to change their futures, they must first face the past. Helen (Tierney) begins the season involved in an intoxicating new affair with a charismatic movie star (guest star Claes Bang), who offers to give her everything she’s been missing. Noah (West) meanwhile has to swallow his pride and his jealousy and step in to take care of his family in her absence. But just when things seem to have stabilized, a chance encounter with someone from the distant past sets in a motion a sequence of events that brings them both to their knees. Paquin stars as Alison and Cole’s now adult daughter Joanie Lockhart, who returns some years in the future to piece together the truth about what happened to her mother, bringing the whole story full circle.

I love it when she says ‘I would be a fucking idiot to go back there.’ It’s the same as when Cole says to Alison ‘I would be crazy to trust you again.’ Both Cole and Helen never stopped loving their spouses and in the end they both chose to be crazy and try again because their heart won out over their head. It’s so powerful. When Helen said ‘if I die without you knowing I love you do I get a prize or something.’ That sentence said it all for both her and Cole. In the end they chose to throw in their pride to be happy and try to be with the person they truly loved. ‘I’m tired of pretending.’ ‘ So stop pretending.’ The writing was amazing in this show. Amazing show.

Good girl. I really hope they don't get back together. Helen has given him enough chances. There will always be much love between them but they are just toxic for each other. They can have a relationship because they share children and be good friends but it really shouldn't go further than that. Noah needs to grow up.

As much as I LOVE to see all relationships work out, this young lady told Noah exactly what he needed to hear. I would advise any woman out a man leaves you constantly & cheats on you, HE, does not deserve you. To make matters worse, he slept with allison in their bed, put his family on a rollercoaster ride, etc. Its better to walk away & renew your mind. Something better will come when you least expect it.
