Microneedling is a super popular skin treatment because it can stimulate collagen, improve acne scarring, improve the signs of aging (like fine lines and wrinkles), and help with uneven skin tone and texture. In this video, I talk about what it is, where you should get microneedling done, and all the benefits of microneedling. Have you tried it? Tell me about your experience in the comments!

I had 3 1/month micro needling treatments on my face, neck and chest and now I get a treatment once every 6 months. I have noticed an improvement in the texture of my skin, but feel like this is more of a long term aid for my aging skin. I have also started incorporating many of the products you have recommended for skin care (vitamin C, retinol, glycolic acid, peptides…). I started this at age 51. Wish I would have started at age 30.

Thanks for your videos. Very informative. 😀

I have professional microneedling twice a year and at home with a .05 roller every two months. I love the vampire facial. The difference in my skin is amazing. Do you think that using grow factors for the microneedling makes a big difference in the skin? Would you make a video about grow factor serums? Thank you for your informative videos. Love them!

I love micro needling. I just did my own home treatment 2 weeks ago and it really rejuvenated my skin. I did a 2.5 mm in some areas and lesser on thinner areas and I’m aiming for the every 4-6 week treatment. I have definitely noticed that the skin does need a good 2-3 week period to rejuvenate and heal. I did get some cold sore outbreaks because my skin is sensitive but I’ll be taking antivirals during my next treatment. It has been 100% worth it.

I just had microneedling on my face and hands about 3 weeks ago. At the moment, I was feeling like it didn't do anything. I didn't know that I should be doing a few appointments in a row. Thank you.

I had a session of Microneedling/Morpheus and laser resurfacing done on my entire face and neck in the same day. I can say that the resurfacing didn't feel too pleasant, and my recovery took about 7-8 days. I still have two more sessions of microneedling which are 6 weeks apart. $3000 was the most painful part.

Thank you dr Ellis for a very informative video. I’m planning on having microneediling this month. I have Melasma and hyperpigmentation in my face and neck. I’m 66 years old with olive skin I always had really good skin, I had shingles in my eye and face last year and that scared badly too.
I’m a bit apprehensive of having any treatment. I will be grateful for your comments

What is the best bang for your buck when it comes to procedures like chemical peels, micro needling, light therapy and lasers? How do you determine where to focus limited finances to make a real difference in collagen production (and/or hyperpigmentation) from someone who is not trying to sell me their stuff?

I’m glad that you talked about dark skin and keloid. I would like to reduce the fat and eye bags but I do get keloid.

I have had 3 micro with prp treatments, primarily for old acne marks on my cheeks but also melasma. I loved the outcome! But, even with numbing all 3 treatments were painful 😅 everyone told me it wasn’t bad but mine did not feel numbed at all, so odd. I’d do it again though!

Watching this as I grind my coffee, I’ve just put the grinder down and am now googling courses of micro needling near me. Sold.
