Er Hello, in a video about fixing an inoperative touchscreen, why are you using the touchscreen button?
I did most of this stuff with Start and Volume up/down buttons but stopped short of the factory wipe of all data.
I then used an old trick for getting a few minutes use from old dead hard-drives, I zipped the phone into a sandwich bag and put it in the freezer overnight. This brought it back to life for a few minutes while I salvaged pictures and videos etc.
Then I figured the phone was a brick anyway so I tried taking it to bits. I started by scoring around the edge of the screen trying to work out how to gently pry it open, and to my amazement it came back to life for a few seconds. So I ran the tip of the knife around the screen again (digging out a lot of grime). This time it came back to life for longer. I tried a 3rd time and it came fully back to functionality and has been working fine ever since.
Amazing, unexplainable but true.
