We grew up in what many would call mega-churches. Calvery Chaples, Harvest Christian Fellowship, Crossroads Christian church and now we are a part of a small home church with about 10 families. So well put together - thank you! I’ve watched many videos about ‘leaving the church’ that tend to criticise the institution but provide no solutions. I love the spirit behind your home church. So many advantages!

1. All are being equipped- active rather than passive
2. Financial offerings can go directly to those in need within the group or in the community rather than to building maintenance and upkeep
3. Real family is much easier with a small group.

My husband and I have been praying to find a similar church in the Uk.

I'm part of a home church here in Brazil too and it's really a blessing. I love being part of it because this model is basically how the first churches worked. It's awesome.

I grew up going to church. I've never found any genuine fellowship at church. I left church eleven years ago and have had more meaningful fellowship with other Christians that I've met outside of church. There has never been anyone from church that ever reached out to me that ever made me feel like they really cared about me. I've been so turned off about church. The Lord led me out in the marketplace to share my faith with others. I've seen God do so much and he has manifested himself in my life as he promises in John 14:21. I've seen many people healed, deliverances and people having encounters with the Lord. I've found joy and fulfillment in getting out and being the church. It's amazing the people that the Lord has brought into my life. I unexpectedly ran into two Christian brothers yesterday that I haven't seen one of them in about seven years and the other one in about two years but we hung out for about three hours and had an amazing time of fellowship.

According to the bible, people met up in homes, not a profit gaining building. That's why I am looking for a home church in my area.

I’m a member of a home church here in Connecticut. I thank God for leading me there. We are a happy mix of black, Hispanic and white. Both young and old.
I believe a home church is what Jesus had in mind when building his following. If you have a question or don’t understand something you can chime in at that time. You can’t do that in a normal type church. If you have a message. You can bring it. Mostly we let the holy spirt lead us. So many times where we ended up in discussion is far from where we started. The first church in Acts ate together. I like how you trained the children to prepare them to be able to sit still and listen. I also agree that parents are their children's main teachers. I think it makes families closer.

Hi. I am a Japanese Christian living in Japan. I was just wondering about having a home church. Then I found your YouTube . I and my husband have been so used to going to what you call a church for around 25 years, so we were not sure if it is biblical to start a home church. Since my mom got too old to go to church, we were trying to read bible and worship and pray with her online. from home these days on Sundays. Gradually we started thinking why not we start a home church, first just us and mom, then, who knows what plan God has... Is it possible...? Then your story truly encouraged me this morning. Hey my sister and brother who live clearly on the other side of the globe, I thank you so very much for sharing this precious story about what a church is.

We long for that fellowship and connection thay we read about in the book of Acts, which is missing in so many of the chutch buildings. Church in the home is biblical. NAMING churches is NOT. DONT name it, don't incorporate it, dont get 501 C status. None of those things are scriptural and in fact are presumptuous.
