What is it like being a vet?

Thanks! I want to become a exotic vet. Specializing in rats, bunnies, hamsters, birds ect. In collage do they teach about those animals? Or just cats and dogs

I couldnt be a vet. I would have to deliver bad news to everyone who brought in the animal. But just because i would have stuffed it in my pocket and smuggled it home. "I am sorry for your loss. But the animal is in a better place now."
