Usually based on radiographic imaging, the diagnosis of knee osteoarthritis has been challenged recently as there is weak correlation between imaging findings and clinical symptoms. The criteria proposed are supposed to identify clinical presentation of knee OA in symptomatic patients without imaging.

Some literature says that inflammation plays a role in development of OA and some literature disagrees.
But it is very useful to know that there is no increase of local tissue temperature (which basicly is one of the signs of inflammation)

Would it be okay to argue that inflammation could be present especially when pain is at its worse? Due to the break down of cartilage which releases inflammatory cytokines and thus, it might be hot to touch?

Sir, my mom has a small amount of knee pain if she takes rest but NO MORNING STIFFNESS AT ALL, or even No discomfort while walking could she have arthritis ?

I have OA in both of my Knees I was 1st Diagnosed with OA at age 35 which is Young both of my Knees make that Popping Grinding Sounds which sounds like I'm Playing with my Jewelry and Beads and my Knees tend to Lock Up and Give Way I also have Soreness and Tenderness in my Knees then I'm Stiff when I Wake Up in the Morning I also sometimes have to Call in Sick from Work because the Arthritis Aches and Pains can sometimes be Bad I wear a Knee Brace which Helps alot
