I just now applied the same fix! I used a small layer of 2 PART JB on some very clean scuffed up roughed up surfaces and topped it off/ shaped it with a good amount of steel stik

I used this epoxy on a minarelli 2fast 100 build the crank case has to be opened up to the point it breaks through the aluminum and the base of the cylinder is so wide there's no base gasket area so you have to use epoxy or weld I tried epoxy first bec I was scared of welding and the heat causing the junk cast aluminum to crack. But all the epoxy ended up coming off and leaking within 4-6 hours or racing. I do use q16 witch is a very harsh gas and breaks down almost anything it touches, it's extremely hard on rubber so I was curious how epoxy would it didn't do well.

Hi Sir, Chair made up of with Iron pipe is broken into two pieces. Which sealant is strong enough to join two metal pipe pieces?

I got in a hurry and wasn’t thinking ended up hydro locking a bolt for my stator cover and cracked the motor I think it just cracked the outer part of the bolt hole and not the inner side so I’m going to attempt to use the 2 part jb weld and try to keep the crack from growing and this video and some of the comments gives me hope!! Tip if you let gasket maker set up over night make sure you run a tap in the bolt holes first before you try to put a bolt in there it’ll save you a lot of heartache when you hear it crack and start to ooze out dried gasket maker

You mentioned its not when exposed to gas but it says gas tanks on the packaging

Did yoy drill a hole at the end of the crack to stop it first?

Tried once, didn't clean well nor prep right so broke again

If you have the time and the tools, Applying it to the inside or both sides is likely to work better, but really if it's cracking the cast may just crack elsewhere. I hope it made do at least.

I have two broken screws next to each other on my fuel pump. I'm spilling gas out of the top of the tank. I'm hoping this will mostly plug the area the gas is coming out of. I only need it to last another week or two until I get my new car.
