What is recruitment management and how to create a recruitment plan?
Recruitment Management is the process of attracting people (searching for a job).
From a practical point of view, it is “the process of hiring someone from the identification of job vacancy to the agreement with the new employee.
Recruitment Management “Job Description”
You must have seen the below job description
1. Assist in overall recruitment procedures according to the company’s policy OR Hire new staff members OR
2. Provide support to hire a new employee effectively OR Work closely with HR Officer in the management of recruiting new employees OR Create a recruitment plan for the company OR
3. Show your presence in the interviews with the interview penal OR Set up an interview for the recruitment procedures.
Practical Procedures
There is only one procedure of Recruitment Management, and that is
“Recruitment Plan”
BUT
The Recruitment Plan contains its own procedures that we will continue learning in the next videos.
What is a recruitment plan?
It is a prearranged strategy/plan for hiring employees.
From a practical point of view, it is a set of actions or some tasks which are prearranged before recruiting any employee for the organization.
Recruitment Plan View:
Recruitment plan step 1: Buy a folder/file
• Buy a thick A4 paper size folder/file and label it with the name of “Recruitment”
Recruitment plan step 2: Label the folder
• The label is similar to the name of a Personnel Files Folder that we learned in the previous Personnel Files video.
Recruitment plan step 3: Identification of vacancy position
How to Identify the vacancy?
You can identify the position under the below situations
• If you are an assistant, your company will tell you to recruit someone for a vacancy. OR
• If you are the senior management employee, you can identify the vacancy on your own. OR
• Sometimes it happens that a department is short of employees and requests the HR department to recruit an employee. OR
• If you are in a junior position and you can’t identify the job. In this case, either your company informs you to recruit someone for a specific position, or you can yourself make use of members of your current staff who can provide insight into the whole recruitment procedures. They can help you very well.
