🖖 Hey! I'm Enrico and on this channel I go behind the scenes of the design, psychology and stories behind tech and making stuff on the internet. I'm a tech Product Manager, builder of things made of pixels.

Beware of success bias! We often don't hear often about failed attempts. Just like with a lottery, the only story we hear is about those who won or those who failed spectacularly. Tech is an area with high risk and high reward.

Omg, the anxiety I got from thinking when you will drop your phone is unreal :P

In all seriousness tho - a great video as always! Thanks a lot and good luck with this new(-ish) path you chose :)

For someone who is only 28 you know, understand, and are able to communicate many things that people much older than you have yet to comprehend 🙂

Be sure you've done things for the right reasons. I'm in my seventh decade now, and I feel it's given me perspective. Example: I worry that you have been burdened with first-world guilt. Buddy, if you can stand to look at yourself in the mirror every day, you've earned the right to a nice salary with all the perks, including visiting wonderful places. You can't single-handedly fix the world around you, only your own state of mind towards it.

I sympathize with this video. I don't work harder than every blue-collar people.
I love games. I learned programming. I got jobs. I got fancy company jobs. I knew people in the game industry.
I didn't have a plan and just waited what future would bring to me. But I have a 90% better life than my peers.
I always feel I'm lucky. I feel imposter syndrome.
I want to start my own career as well. Like a little game studio, just for a dream.

Thank you Enrico. I resigned on Saturday, have a meeting with Head Honcho today. I have been in the ramen period before and wondering. But this upload could not come at a more timely moment. I have no idea what I will do but there is no path where I am to bring me any joy, excitement or anything I value. Above all else freedom to choose is what I value. Ethics, people, places, lifestyle. I am now resolute. Thank you again and best of luck with YOUR projects. I will follow with interest.

Davvero delle belle riflessioni specialmente quelle dell'hard work.

Oh, appreciate your perspective and saying out loud that opportunities are different for people in different countries, that is something many business gurus don't mention or don't realize. Media and building an audience is for sure one of the best opportunities right now for anyone no matter their location or background; soon the whole internet will be flooded with AI-generated content, so now is the best time to establish online presence and gain trust.

Funny to see you are developing a similar mentality that got me quitting my corporate job 3 years ago becoming a digital nomad. Long story short:
High risk, high reward.
Low risk, low reward.

I'm guessing your six figure job provided plenty of backup for your new path.

I appreciate your insight. My 2c, it is also important to broaden one's perspective. Building a product is only one small part of tech. Sales, Marketing, and other related skills are typically ignored by entrepreneurs with a "build it, and they will come."

Chasing a dream job can be just as illusory when striking out on your own. Most of us entrepreneurs spend something like 80% of our time doing all the things we didn't want to do but now have no choice if we want to succeed. Accounting is boring, sales is dirty, marketing is fluff - if this is the knee-jerk reaction of someone quitting their tech job to start their own thing, better re-think.

YouTube, for all of us other than the lucky few, is a tool, not a job by itself. A great tool. Anyone making fun of a YouTube career doesn't understand that for every famous YouTuber, there are many more making a living using YouTube to help their business. Some with as little as a few hundred, or just a few thousand, not hundreds of thousands subscribers, have created a six figure plus "job" they totally control themselves and love.

Just saying to those thinking "I don't want to be a YouTube influencer", you aren't seeing the real picture.
