I first learned how to make rice cakes from @cafemaddy and now her recent video has taught me how to make this incredibly simple and delicious tteokbokki i genuinely love and appreciate her and her videos so so much 🌷

17-21 boiled rice cakes
toasted sesame oil

* coat the rice cakes in oil

1 tbsp gochujang
1 tbsp chilli oil
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp honey
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp pressed garlic
pinch of msg
salt to taste

* mix the sauce and coat the rice cakes evenly with it
* transfer to an oiled pan and toast till the rice cakes are crispy and caramelised on the outside
* serve hot with toasted sesame seeds and even more chilli oil 💐
