Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce. No one can play them better.

I am an Aussie but my English grandmother always loved Sherlock Holmes. It's obvious why.

have to kind of admire this adaption for not even bothering to try and explain the time jump from 1890s to 1940s and going "we wanted a Sherlock story set in the present, just deal with it"

Love it, the setting is London during the war, but yet, the there is North American light switches in the wall, not British lol.

Another phenomenal film starring Mr. Rathbone and Mr. Bruce. A wonderful story and patriotic film. Highlighting the insanity and monster mindset of the NAZI menace and terror. Long live the Spirit of Freedom that burned in the hearts of the British peoples! An American Patriot! Amen.

The picture of the Nazi secret meeting house in an abandoned church on an ocean side cliff is the exact same one as the sea side mansion on a cliff in "the house of fear" Rather a large mistake for a studio to make. Surely they had more post cards to choose from than to use that one again. Even the great Sherlock Holmes should have yelled out "great Scott" as he realized they were one and the same! Still love these. Just a slight humorous error in an excellent series. Thank you for posting it! Quite!
