The encounter between Holmes and Moriarty at the 30 minute mark is absolutely flawless and captivating. The setting, the pacing, dialog, diction, their body language, their fierce rivalry yet mutual respect, all communicated perfectly. What a fantastic piece of cinema.

These used to on Sunday afternoons. But now, in colour, it's a gem. Very well paced. Good, efficient direction, keeping the focus on the plot. Watson is the highlight
