“”Sometimes” short sellers need to buy stock to close position.” Not “sometimes”... that’s how shorting works

This video doesn't actually capture the reason the company became so valuable. It's because they don't just make cars. They make a vertically intergraded energy and transportation solution. Yes, the car is where they got started but each one of their business units will dominate their respective segments. They can become the most profitable car company, solar panel and/or roofing company (solar tiles), ride sharing company (Fleet of FSD), utility (solar panel leasing & Virtual Power Plant tech via their Autobidder software), logistic company (automated trucking), and more. Each one of these segments is 100 to 300 billion in market cap potential. This video only said one thing: it sold 1/25th of the number of cars Toyota sold. Which is a ludicrous comparison. There are a ton more reasons why this company is going to continue to dominate that I won't get into right now.

WSJ, always late, always vaguely oversimplified. Sad for modern journalism

Son: "Dad, please buy me a share of Tesla. It's only $179."
Dad: "I don't know. $906 is a little steep."
Son: "Dad, please... You'll need to fork out just $459."
Dad: "Alright. After all, one Tesla stock is only $1702."

Stock prices are deeply tied to investors EXPECTATIONS, so if a lot of people think that in the foreseeable future the car market will be driven by electric car and so they bet on the company which seems best position to capitalise on this industry trend.

Got to admit Elon does have big plans. Once star link gets set up, Tesla is not gonna have any issues anywhere on earth for Internet and connectivity with his vehicles. The guy just gets ahead of the competition faster and faster. I mean look at the space X launch recently. He just launches satellites. The guy can be weird but he is an engineer. Many people who took risks in the past were all crazy.

What a useless report, not even mentioning WHY short sellers believe that Tesla is overvalued....

Not a single mention of the breakthrough batteries, the solar business, the autonomous AI. This is why the shorts get Tesla wrong it’s a technology platform not just a car company. Ask yourself is Apple just a phone company?

It is because of the very capable CEO Elon Musk. That’s why the company Tesla is a buy.

Seems like we live in an era of celebrity-led branding. Be it cars or booze. Platforms like YouTube probably have something to do with it.

People joked about investing in TSLA and I invested, I have a solid portfolio always appreciating and have seen a 14% increase in profits for 2021. I’m also invest in NIO, APPLE, DISNEY etc. raking in over $700k in profits for 2020 alone but I didn’t know much about this type of investing all thanks to my personal F.A Eddy Bruke whose accountability has made me more success than a lot of years in the rat race

The main reason TSLA has skyrocketed is because of what it demonstrated in shanghai. It turned a mud field into a production line in under a year. This proved that Tesla could scale fast and cheap. This is super important because obviously it proves growth is going to happen really quickly but also it shows that the competition is out of time. Many car companies are going to go bankrupt because they will not be able to develop competitive products in time. Tesla will simply push them out of the market before the competition has a chance to catch up.

These guys doesn't understand disrupted technology, and Tesla is the combination of many disruptive technologies.
