Pizza Hut and Wendy’s aren’t filing for bankruptcy. The largest franchisee is. There are around 7, 500 Pizza Huts and 5, 850 Wendy’s in the US. The article even states that the franchisee tried to get a loan from Yum Brands (the owner of the Pizza Hut brand) but they refused to do so.
