You don't need to go to the snowfields, you can get there from right next to the academy immediately after getting there.

They don't tell you this, but the mushrooms in caves are free. I have 225 cave mushrooms at home.

Seems like everyone forgets you can get to the Mohg dynasty early by invading three people. Not beating them, just invading them.

I learned you can actually just power through Varre's quest line without killing Godrick.

There's a hidden path next to the broken bridge next to stomrveil castle. From there, go to Liurnia of the Lakes.

Renalla is a way easier fight, and once you get her great rune, you can find Varre. That, and it's also how you get to Altus Plateau.

To everyone:
Once defeated radhan and mogh, if you already have the DLC but it does not work, shut down the console and then boot it up.
It was an issue with the time lock

Redmane castle is in Caelid, not the Altus Plateau 👁️👄👁️

If you're good enough, you can access the dlc from a fresh start in like 2 hours.

Spawn -> get dectus pieces -> rest in liurnia and talk to varre -> rest in altus -> kill greyoll for levels (optional) -> kill radahn -> invade an npc (i know great stars dude works, not sure about RotM dude) -> talk to varre again -> go to frenzied flame church for maiden blood (or imbued sword key to get to chapel of anticipation) -> talk to varre to get mogwhyn seal -> tp to mohg palace -> kill mohg

Half of those steps could be condensed to "do varres questline". The hardest parts by far are killing mohg and radahn super under leveled, but there are ways around it

There is an easier way so you don't need to be that far in the game. You only need limgrave, caelid and liurnia. Right at the start of the game do varré's questline, it will take you to liurnia. Now you need to do the carian manor, find and talk to ranni, start her quest. She will ask you to join Blaidd in Nokron, do as such. Blaidd will suggest you talk to seluvis (tower next to ranni's). Seluvis will give you a note to give to sellen, which you find on one of the ruins in limgrave. She will talk about the festival. There you go do redmane castle beat Radhan, finish varré's quest to be teleported to Moghwyn' s palace, kill Mogh and enjoy your dlc.

One is a story boss and the other is HIGHLY recommend although optional, as the area before him is one of the best farming spots in the game.

I followed a guide that brought me to mogh within the first couple hours of playing. Do the blood quest and do the pvp by joining and leaving immediately. You can also fight npcs that invade you.
