I remember when I was a kid (1970’s) my veteran grandfather used to always tell me to never believe anything the government says. He said they would outright lie to keep the peace and preserve order in a real war. He also taught me the principles of warfare are to first demonize and dehumanize the enemy to make it easier to kill, and then create a reason to justify an attack. The best offense is undertaken as if it is self defense. Hope I never experience this.

This is the part of the reason why I miss working in military manufacturing. Whenever we got a massive order for equipment, I knew something might be around the corner. We got huge orders prior to the invasion of Ukraine

As a 12 year vet of the US Marines, I can definitely tell you the 3 things you can observe at home without much research or “look ups”. Which is stated in this video of course.
Unusual military-like aircraft in places you’ve never observed them, naval fleet movements and the biggest tell tale, evacuation of embassy’s and government officials abroad. You see these things, have a plan.

I think it's safe to say that no one in our government or military have any intentions of providing any type of advanced warning of anything. We'll know when it hits us.

I was stationed in Germany in the late seventies and early 80s as an MP. I remember a few small alerts and one NATO alert. The NATO alert was especially disturbing as they were preparing to hand out bayonets from The arms room. We were told that if they ever issued bayonets in an alert it was the real deal. Fortunately it never came to that but it came close.

Nate, before Desert Shield and Desert Storm in Iraq I worked as the Inventory Manager at Nutri/System Weight Loss in Philadelphia, Pa. My contacts at Oregon Freeze Dry (Mountain House) and other food vendors that I bought from let me know that something big was going to happen because they could not guarantee my food deliveries. I was buying multiple truckloads of food every week. The VP of one company that produced MREs let me know about the Exec Order for military supplies that was signed and that we were definitely going to war. So if you have the right sources they may not be able to tell you everything but they will know when something big is being prepared for. (That’s when I became a prepper).

The vast majority of the population will have no defense in the event of a nuclear exchange. However, if you want to get a good idea of how the public will react, then do you recall when Hawai'i citizens were told that nuclear warheads were headed their way, and would impact the islands within minutes? Of course, it was all a mistake, but during that time, people went absolutely CRAZY. That is your biggest concern.

I live in Puerto Rico, the national guard activity has increased. Just the other day i saw a v-22 osprey for the first time, as it passed by my town in the west coast.

I think unless we live near military facilities or areas of strategic or military importance, we're not gonna have a clue but a lot of these things have already happened and are happening but a lot we're never going to see or know about until it's too late. I honestly don't think they'd even warn us. What good would it do?

A majority of things on this list have already been done or is happening right now by numerous countries.

As a general civilian, you wouldn't see any of this. You might see an increase of activity of you live near a military installation, but that in itself wouldn't be helpful. Nowadays it's more likely that you'd hear it from a news outlet first (because they'd want to be the first to air the end of the world). The government probably wouldn't want to warn the public to avoid hysteria, looting and general lawlessness. FEMA wouldn't come into play until afterwards....
