Bring it On!
I have a backache that's already killing me.

Now I’m not sure if I even want to survive a nuclear attack.

I think I would just ride towards the mushroom cloud on my motorcycle while listening to Slayer and smoking a cigar.

I'm going into a cave or mine here in the Sierra's, if I didn't have a kid, & wasn't a single Dad, i wouldn't care either, but I'm gonna do whatever it takes to make sure he has the best chance at a future, if it cost me my life!

The flash from a detonation can last anywhere from 20 seconds to two minutes depending on the configuration of the weapon.

If the blindness is anything like welders flash the pain can be incredible. If it is foggy, snowing or raining tight fitting goggles are necessary because it can bounce off your cheeks and then your glasses and then into your eyes. Believe me I know what I'm talking about. The pain can last for several days.

There won't be any warning at all. Everyone nowadays is afraid to risk a false alarm, where people fleeing will get in auto accidents, etc. You won't know until you see the flash one second before you feel quite warm, one second before lights out.

It’s highly doubtful the government would issue an alert if an all out nuclear volley was underway…. Survival depends on your location at the time of impact…. At ground zero you instantly become one with the universe and within a couple miles your flesh melts off…. I’m hoping I’m in the country far from a nuclear silo or major military base👍

I live in what I like to call the corridor of death. I'm 14 miles away from Site R, 45 minutes away from Baltimore, an hour away from Washington, lots of key military and civilian targets in the area. I think I'm outside of the actual blast zone, but fallout will be an issue for sure.

Great video, a lot of great information, although my only comment that I didn't hear was at the beginning of the video when he was talking about the emergency alert on your phone, t.v, radio etc. There's a possibility that prior to the incoming bomb there will be no cell phone, t.v, or radio signal or service, if underground utility cables are cut ( which run under the ocean) or an EMP is sent out to disrupt the grid.

If you had Geiger Counter and you found a hot particle on you Shaving cream works well to lift it off your skin

The first problem is that you won‘t reach your shelter in time. I am pretty sure you will only know when the first missiles already strike.

As nuclear war once was my job, I don't think I would like to survive one.

Radiation exposer goes up and then down as fallout dust settles. The cloud/smoke plume is one of your biggest worries along with everything else

I don’t think a warning would be issued because of the chaos it would create. There would be mass car accidents freezing everyone in their tracks.

It's a wonderful world, who would think it's only a matter of time before humans destroy it. God have mercy.

"stocked fallout shelters" during the cold war..I remember being in them when I was a kid. They had tinned water, tinned crackers and some blankets and a few cots. Most of that was WWII left overs. . That's it. Stocked. Ha!
