1. Change all locks in home
2. Deep clean the home (carpets, flooring, baseboard, etc)
3. Paint the walls
4. Change outlet covers
5. Change all utilities in your name
6. Change HVAC filter (over head microwave, fridge as well)
7. Request pest service
8. Change your address and forwarding address
9. Organize all your home closing documents
10. Prepare another budget that includes new mortgage and expeses.

PEST CONTROL!! Thank you for mentioning this. Take it from my experience...get someone out for an inspection ASAP before you move in ANY belongings. Could save you so much time, money, and truly sad and disappointing weeks. Congrats to e everyone on their new place :)

Wow, I've watched so many of these videos and I'm glad I didn't fast forward because you brought up some great items that I've never seen in other videos. Thank you!!! A couple maybe to add is learning where all your water and gas shut off valves are and to meet your neighbors. 😅
