How To Further Calm Your Horse When Lying Down

Three horses this morning were lying down at the same time so I thought I'd visit a bit and give a quick tip on how to calm them or have them get a bit more comfortable and sleepy while you're there.

Our store is where you can purchase lessons, trims, training and some merchandise! or help out with a bale of hay or haybag for the horses.

See Our Introduction Video For 360 Video Here:

We made a cool little movie going for a ride in our famous local park, Golden Ears Park. Check that out here:

A nose to the hand and then presenting the butt--now that's some clear communication there. Love the narration, as usual.

I think Little Miss snapped out of her nap when you began to talk. She loves you.

Love it. You have the type of relationship with your horses that I want when the day comes that horses come to live on my property. ❤

Lena cracks me up! "Hey... You... Don't you see my butt? It needs scratches! Why aren't you scratching? See my scratchless butt? Fix it!!!"

Mr. Wilde has come so far. I love the gentle way you have with your horses. Come on Dad, "scratch it!" Lena is so pretty!

"I'm never worried about Lena getting up, she's never..."
Lena : "hold my hay" *gets up🤣

I can’t help laughing at Lena carefully presenting that great big butt, even taking a small step back to make sure she’s close enough. 😂
Regarding stroking around the eyes, I used that same technique to get my babies to settle to sleep if they were fussing. 😊

Was that ice on your fences? 90° down here in Central Florida. UGH!! I don't know why, but am always amazed by your tenderness for your beauties!! Your videos, are by far, my favorite horse videos I follow. Thank you again for sharing.

I've a bit of a saddening question... I was told about this horse after I saw her once when I was helping a friend move her horses to a different place...
So there was a very neglected horse there, I called animal control on the owners after I was told about her but they didn't do anything.
Her hooves were so over grown, her stall was so small and a complete mess. The only food she got was from other ppl putting hay and grains in her feeding "tub" cuz they felt bad for her.
I was told she went competently neurotic because her feet and legs were so uncomfortable being over grown, that she couldn't lay down for a decent sleep. For a LONG LONG time.
Plus other things... It Broke my heart so completely....
I was told she was "too far gone to even go to a rehab facility to be a normal horse again, and that the only thing that could be done was euth."

Is that true?? Could a horse be that bad off? I was so upset that even animal control wouldn't do anything and the owner refused to release ownership to anyone.

Poor girl, she was such a beautiful paint...
