Is it safe to visit Afghanistan?
This is the price that peace has to pay. This is the most stability the country has had in decades, and the situation that people are living in is still horrendous. There is no end to the suffering that Afghans endure.
Being able to visit as a foreigner, to enter and leave without any consequences IS a privilege. But just like in any other country, you have to respect the government, whether you agree with it or not. Especially if it's an authoritarian regime.
I'm not saying everyone is innocent, but there is more than meets the eye in Afghanistan. Many don't agree with what's happening but have no other choice but to abide by the new laws in place.
