We switched to metal bowls when my cat got acne and it cleared right up. Ceramic should be the same but perhaps there are some scratches in it that are allowing pockets of gunk like what plastic does. Might be worth trying metal bowls

Stress might be one reason to cause this. I know you introduced them perfectly but Papaya can still have stress when she has to be with little kitty and to share mommy

Commonly cat acne recurs if bowls (including water) are not washed daily. Cats that eat wet food are more prone due to contact of their face with the food. Once they have it bowl hygiene and daily chin wipes (not necessarily medicated) are important to prevent recurrence.

Aw sweet Papaya! I have a British Short hair that had some acne and my vet told me to wash all of the plastic toys every month to disinfect and his acne cleared up within a week. Definitely worth a try!

My one cat used to get chin acne. It cleared up when I switched to a stainless steel bowl for feeding. 😸

My Frankie always got cat-cne even when she only ate & drank from stainless steel bowls which I washed every couple of days. Then I found out that she was sensitive towards any chicken flavored items. It seemed to make it worse. She now eats mainly seafood flavored items, including only seafood Churus. Just a thought! She is a Siberian breed FYI.

- Stress of another cat could be causing it and anxiety if she starts biting her ankles or paws, take her to the vet to try some CBD or other remedies the vet could recommend. 🐾

Soo satisfying! I heard that cats can get acne from eating with the edge of their bowl on their chin so maybe tilt Papaya’s bowl? I guess you should just also clean her bowl. I hope this helps!❤️💕

We had the same problem with our cat, the thing you didn't mention that i recommend:
Wash the bowls regularly and rinse it with hot water. Also try not using soap often😊👍

Use a little lukewarm water, lukewarm water opens up the pores of the skin and the cats hate cold water, hope this helps . You can also add some antiseptic liquid in the water, hope papaya gets better soon, (btw i used this on my kitty and she improved a lot in a week so i reccomended this) hope this helps 😄

My cat gets it too! Normally it's not that bad but once she had one get so infected it swelled up and blood went everywhere and it exploded and it was horrible. But I did the same thing, just got the wipes and some cream and she's been fine since

Get rid of plastic! Switch to stainless steel plates and bowls, or glass. Even ceramic holds bacteria! Wash all plates daily in the dishwasher after use. Change water every day! This stopped my cat’s bad acne.
