A warm compress works too. Just dip a clean cotton wash cloth in warm water. Make sure to test the heat on your wrist first. Then press it on cats chin for as long as tolerated. Do this at least twice a day. This method also works on me when I get pink eye. The heat gets the body to fight off infection.

I had this situation with my FIRST cat years ago….I was naive… the vet took me for a financial ride… I dropped the doc and the chin acne disappeared after I changed the feeding bowl out to stainless steel …🐈‍⬛🐾🐾

Can you use salicylic acid (the ingredient in Stridex) on cat acne? I have seen conflicting information about this online and am confused, some saying that it might be toxic to cats

My cat had acne a few months ago and went with antibiotics + soap solution that was prescribed by the vet, it got better for few weeks then re-occurred 😢. This time I will try stridex or which hazel.. i use ceramic bowl but the water fountain is plastic, I’ll change that and lets hope it works

I would use air water good water a. Cotton pad a splash of witch hazel. Witch hazel because in will help the skin also excellent for infection.😇🙏🏼

Thank you for posting. I went ahead and ordered "Chlorhexidine wipes for Felines. I use metal bowls. He broke out with blackheads around his mouth. I am hoping this will clear up his acne.
