This video I face my weekend of relapse drinking following a year from hell; my diagnosis of burnout, addiction, anxiety, depression and PTSD.

This is my journey to self awareness and understanding of my mental health and what has happened to me. Encouraging others to share their experiences.

____________

Calling out to all who have suffered a burnout, stress, anxiety, depression, PTSD or a nervous breakdown. A channel set up to bring us together to share, reflect, support and learn from each other.

My name is Gregg. I suffered a job burnout and never imagine the year that has followed. Still in recovery, I am seeking others to build a community to discuss mental health.

I appreciate your bravery in sharing your story and being vulnerable. Im 8 months in after diagnosis. I still drink most days. I rely on medical cannibas. I have severe ptsd, depression, anxiety, fibromyalgia amd migraines - and all of this has evolved into some agoraphobia. Im new to your channel and think maybe some day I'll be able to share my story too. You mentioned decisions - i realised my cognitive decline quite early in the process. Some days getting dressed (choosing what to wear) is extremely challenging. And all those things i once did without thinking are now of massive effort. Im surrendering to stillness. Learning what REST really means and learning to trust myself more. Peace and love (and strength) 🙏✨️🦋

I watched your other videos on burnout and I am going through literally the exact same thing and I have also been self medicating with alcohol for years. It’s a cycle that has to be broken from what I can make of it. I haven’t figured out how to beat it myself but I am determined.

Hi Gregg !
Thank you for sharing your experience. I do understand you, went through similar situations. It is doable what you search to do, and since it has been a while since you posted the video I hope you are already much better.

I think, you are really couragous, you are showing how fragile the process is to heal.
It is on an emotionel level, the healing has to start, so it is good that you dropped alcohol, because it can hinder you from feeling strong emotions.
I believe from my own experience, the deeper i got into the understanding of compassion, and especially from my childhood regarding how lonely i felt and was, without any emotial support.
I could then start slowly to learn from scratch to emotienel develop my own feeling of safety and an understanding of what i need emotienel.
Sorry my english is not so good.
