Depends if Russia is willing to sell its gold to pay the debts. Russian debt is 12% of GDP

Ever since the Iron Curtain fell, I was amazed at how many banks were will to lending money to Russian enterprises. If the nation is run by criminals you surly must realize they will default, whenever it suits them.

In 1998, Russia -- under president Yeltsin -- defaulted on its domestic debt and declared a 90-day moratorium on payment of foreign debt.
In 1918, the Soviet Union defaulted on all debts.

USA is 30+ trillion in debt...Russia has almost no debt and makes billions of energy alone.
Ruble bounced back in less than 3 weeks after US sanctions.
US dollar about to lose its place as the petrodollar and that's when you will see an economic crisis...not in Russia though

Russia doesn't have to restructure because it had not financially failed the breach of the contract is in swift because they are contracted they're contracted to allow the trade of Russian currency and flow of capital there at breach the Russians don't have to do anything. It's like you trying to pay your mortgage and the bank says we're not gonna accept your money well you're not in default the bank is in default because they have to take the money that's the deal same here with Russia Russia can seek damages.

Russia is not going to pay its enemies, SO WHAT? If Russia pays its allies than it will be okay for them, and their partners. They also have resources which basically the very foundation of trading, if EU/US not willing to buy it and they prefer to push their economies to recession, than its fine, some other nation is going to buy it anyway. These sanctions are pushing EU households to poverty, and for what? Average Russian Petr and Katya is accustomed to harsh economic conditions, while we who are part of the EU, are not. Wonder which party is going to give up sooner. But that is obvious, these crushing sanctions haven't crushed Russia yet, and they were implementing the 4th sanction package. Soon we will see the Russian response for these actions. Everyone talks about how we are going to prevail over Russia by implementing these sanctions, however no one is talking about the PRICE the people of the EU citizens are going to pay because of this madness.
