Many employers make the mistake of dumping a bunch of information on their employees, which is full of terminology the new employee is not aware of.

You have to make sure your employee has a reason and purpose to learn, so that they are motivated to do so and understand the content. When giving them the material to learn from, make sure it isn't too much for them so that they do not get overwhelmed. Therefore, the employees should be introduced to information bit-by-bit so that they can absorb everything. While learning, it helps to give your employees a list of new terminology and definitions, so that they understand things quicker and don't face burnout.

Aside from this, you need to balance their study with observation and practice. The employees need to see the process of their studies being implemented by experts in the field.

As the employee learns, it is important to point out their mistakes and make them understand those mistakes, but also highlight what they're doing well. A new employee is likely to feel insecure when they first enter a career, so validation will help them feel more confident and motivated to continue their work.

Have a clear path for essential activity training and what happens after that, who should answer his questions, who will mentor him, there should be different stages as the employee is evolving. If not, the person who is training them will feel exhausted as if the entry level training is never ending

My team has just had a new addition, until he joined i was the newest person. I'm trying to train him as I'd have liked to be trained, and I'm making sure he knows he can ask for help. We've got a task right now that needs to be done twice, I've put him on the slightly easier one and he's been provided with a step by step guide, I'm making sure to work close to him so he can ask me for something if he needs it and he can watch me do the same thing if he's not sure

This is great information and very helpful. My number one tip on training is for the facilitator: Facilitators must make the information engaging as this draws in your audience. Do you have any tips around increasing engagement with a remote audience? Also, can you share the details about your set-up (green screen, camera, etc.) I definitely would like to create this type of background when training remotely. It also helps with the engagement. We all started from scratch before we became an expert of our job! Check if the employee is a trainee and let them grow! Like a fruit please don’t pick them yet when they are still unripe! If you want a sweet result then pick it on it’s harvest time!

Don’t look for the plant if it is still a seed! Give them time to grow!
