Its not a bug, Purples can upgrade to gold. Happened to me during a multi. Got 4 purples, but it stayed on the screen abit longer and one of them broke into a gold.

It's called by the community as a fake out. When you get a gold, the slider can be gold at a random distance. This could be very well intended, but it feels too wacky to be 100% intended, an explanation could be that sometimes it's so close to the end of the touch slider that if you are fast, the animation glitches and doesn't have enough time to go to gold. Atleast that is what I understood, but I could be wrong.

I had this happen too, I didn't tap anywhere, purple flash but SSR dropped.

My ritual is tap the top 3 times then tap the slider 3 times then slowly move the slider up. If it goes purple let it reset then move the slider up as fast as possible. I doubt its because of that but I've gotten good pulls that way lol

I see a lot of people saying this is a bug, but doesn't this happen in a lot of gacha games? at least in FGO and genshin, u can still get a SSR even when u see a sign of an SR.

Yesterday did a 10 pull on Red Hood's banner and it turned out purple, but ended up with 2 SSRs 💀

I had this for my Dorothy, she came as a purple and I was sad, then saw the pilgrim and dorothy came home and went from sad to super hype. I think its a feature not a bug
