He's the prime source of entertainment throughout the book, so it's not surprising when that's the main take away at the end

He freaking managed to hold up the buddha's hands for 5 seconds- that's quite strong, plus the buddha hand is the ENTIRE UNIVERSE so Yeah Buddha is seriously OP and he managed to just hold his hand up for 5 seconds

Wukong is no joke. I've read what must be an abridged version of "Journey to the West" and thoroughly enjoyed it. Even totally OP and as massively egotistical as he is, he's still a hugely entertaining character. There's a reason China and HK keep making movies about him!

Not only is he immortal, he basically stacked every way to become immortal on top of each other. He kept finding new sources of immortality and just going for every single one of them.

Lil side note he’s achieved immortality so many times it’s dumb. He stole an entire supply of wine from a festival in heaven would make him immortal when right before that he ate an entire grove of divine peaches that also would’ve made him immortal. After the wine he ate divine pellets so he wouldn’t be so drunk and those pellets also can make you immortal. Anything remotely cool or interesting he would just steal or consume without hesitation. He’s pretty much the embodiment of “I do a little trolling.”

When I was a kid, I always watched these Sun Wukong live actions on my TV in China and I absolutely loved the character, it’s a funny character that’s op but gets limited by his own team.
