Well, it can be argued that his immortality did different things. For the first one, I’m pretty sure it was like a breathing technique, so the only immortality he got was not dying of old age or something like that, while his other immortalities made it so he couldn’t be injured, or atleast made him a lot more resistant to injury, since immortality doesn’t necessarily mean invincibility
